Steady Andy Gilmour won his second RGS event at Bells on Sunday and put himself on pole position for the RGS Championship.
Andy's 40 point score in the IQSS SPRING TROPHY was his fifth score posted in the 2024/25 League Championship and sets a "Best 5 Average" of 35.4 - an average which Andy can only improve on from now on.
Andy's current lowest qualifying score is 32 - which "Mr Consistent" is sure to improve on over the summer.
Although Tom Hunter leads the League Championship, he has only recorded one qualifying score.
Leo Lucas, who had to pull out of Sunday's event at the last minute, is marginally ahead of Andy Gilmour but has only recorded two qualifiers and will have to play to his low handicap consistently to maintain any advantage.
Dan Freeman has made a good start over the winter and is the real pace-setter in Cat B.
A whole host of players are up in the 30's and can still make a move before the end of August.
Lee Evans (38 points) was runner up in the IQSS SPRING TROPHY (the event that he won last season) with Dan Freeman taking the third place trophy on countback from Mark Davies (both scoring 35).
NEXT EVENT : THE 2025 BOAT OPEN on Sunday April 27th at Woodlake Park.
